It's been recalled due to links with eye infections (Fusarium keratitis) like the ones on the posters in the optometrist's office. Ew. My optometrist does not recommend using the regular ReNu instead since that also doesn't kill fungus. She says to use Clear Care by Ciba, which disinfects with hydrogen peroxide.
